gap between saturdays (CZ)

gap between saturdays is a Prague-based DIY band formed by two high school classmates who now live together. Originally started as a lo-fi pop project, the band currently plays alt-rock and shoegaze.

Their music is characterized by a careful and sometimes exhausting search for gaps and new sounds within the postmodernly negated pond of Prague’s so-called “alternative” music scene. “The main element of their sound is a gentle vocal, mumbling about the introspective poetics of relationship clichés, cynically underlined by cheerful melodic guitars and complemented by almost childlike artwork and somewhat dry music videos.”
