Purpl Boi (CZ)

Purpl Boi is the one-man project of multi-instrumentalist Jakub Svoboda. Singer and versatile musician Jakub Svoboda first sat behind a drum kit at the age of three, which is also when he got his nickname.

Since then, he has played in punk, jazz and metal bands, released several albums, and eventually moved from drums to keyboards. He currently performs on keys in Android Asteroid and especially in the increasingly popular Mydy Rabycad, with whom he has played in Korea and at the famous Glastonbury Festival.

In 2015 he released his first solo album Piece of My Life. Jakub Svoboda’s music has no strict genre boundaries — it moves somewhere between hard electronic music with metal guitars, ambient soundscapes and industrial elements. His sound can evoke bands such as Nine Inch Nails, Pendulum or The Prodigy, as well as IAMX.
