Brass pop band Pondělí 18:00 is a seven-member group of friends, long-time musicians and bandmates from across the Czech Republic. They focus on high-quality, purely instrumental music driven by a powerful four-piece brass section and a tight, energetic rhythm section.

The band was formed about three years ago thanks to a series of chance encounters — in pubs (in the case of trumpeter Adam and guitarist Petr) and rehearsal rooms (for drummer Tomáš). However, the original idea dates back even further. It first emerged in the minds of saxophonist Jirka and trombonist Lukáš six years ago during their high school graduation ball, where they performed together in a show that already hinted at the band’s future direction. The remaining members — bassist Matěj and saxophonist Kryštof — are long-time friends from music school.

Their repertoire includes both original compositions and their own distinctive arrangements of well-known songs. You can clearly hear inspiration from bands such as Lucky Chops and Meute.
